The “Illustrated Furano Map for Hokkaido” project aimed to create a visually informative guide for tourists exploring the renowned Furano mountain in Japan, particularly those seeking skiing experiences. Commissioned by Hokkaido, a region celebrated for its diverse skiing opportunities, the project was a collaboration facilitated through the agency Made Agency. Using Adobe Illustrator, I took on the responsibility of illustrating the map.
Our primary objective was to craft a comprehensive travel information brochure that would serve as a valuable resource for visitors, showcasing the ski areas throughout the region. This included a well-thought-out wayfinding system that skiers could rely on when navigating Furano Hokkaido. The map encompassed essential details such as lift locations, trail signs and levels, directional indicators, and crucial safety information. The project strived to provide tourists with a straightforward and user-friendly guide, ensuring they could make the most of their skiing adventure in this stunning Hokkaido destination. This map was thoughtfully integrated into a print brochure, making it readily available to visitors exploring this picturesque region.
